ENDOMETRIOSIS DOESN'T DISCRIMINATE
+ Not only does the language used to describe Endometriosis need to be more inclusive, so does the treatment. 1 in 10 PEOPLE assigned female at birth have Endometriosis. So yep, that includes transgender men and non-binary people. In addition to that, black and hispanic people receive poor treatment because their pain isn't taken as seriously. Bullshit?! As a disease, Endometriosis is inclusive and should be recognized and treated as such.

+ I am a privileged white woman. I have been dealing with symptoms for years, and when they got unbearable, I had access to a great doctor, a family who could help take care of me, a job that allows me to take time off, and the ability to have surgery performed. Not everyone who suffers from this disease has access to all of these things or is taken seriously when it comes to their pain.

+ To be more inclusive when discussing Endometriosis is just a baby step towards making care more accessible to all people who suffer from this disease.
